            Trends for Christmas 2016

Now this blog post is going to be about what the trends are this year. For you. For gifts. For Décor.

This year there is a wide variety of trends, from traditional green and red to new colours and schemes that are a little outside of the box.

Adding some hue to your white Christmas is up there this year. Now, these would be mixing very light colours like pink, purple, green and blue. Not all together maybe…

New metallic are also on trend. Rose gold, in the past few years, has become very popular but we are only just seeming to notice this as a Christmas trend, along with matt gold and copper. (My favourite). Mixing these metallics with black and emerald green can give a very luxurious feel.

We certainly wanted to be on trend this year so we have a beautiful copper and slate heart ornament. Slate is a dark, matt colour and mixing it with a shine of copper these materials complement each other.

Moving away from colours we have materials. There are rich jewels and mixed materials. Rich jewels are the beautiful embellishments on your favourite party dress or even the intricate beadwork from 1930’s Hollywood. Don’t be afraid to mix your materials this year either! You can have a little play around with décor, mixing matt and shine. Try to give a contemporary vibe on your gift wrapping too, to show who is really on trend!

This year there are a lot more traditional gifting trends. Personalised gifts are definitely up there this year, meaning we have that down to a T. Scandi and Nordic patterns are certainly on trend too giving that Hygge feeling.
