So whilst I am all for a “classy” hen-do, there is certainly room for a little fun and these games will help warm up the party and make it a night to remember. They are especially good if some of the hens don’t know each other!
Mr & Mrs
Before the party print out a selection of celebrities and pop them face down. Each hen picks one up and says which hen would make the perfect partner for them and why!
True or False
Ask the groom-to-be to write a list of facts about himself. Print these out together with a few lies popped in. Get the hens to guess which are true and which are false. The bride can also do a similar list!
Get each of the hens to write down the song they would have for their first dance and also for their funeral if you want to spice things up!!! The hens have to decide whose song it is and if it is for the wedding or funeral.
Buy a few packets of Love Hearts and hide them around the room. It is a race to collect the most.
Divide the hens into teams and get them to write their own limerick about the bride and groom. Remind them what a Limerick is like by quoting this:
“There was an Old Man with a beard
Who said, 'It is just as I feared!
Two Owls and a Hen,
Four Larks and a Wren,
Have all built their nests in my beard!’”
Give them the first line and off they go!!
Here are some ideas:
“There was a girl who fell in love”
“Louise had always fancied lots of men”
“I shall forever be alone”
Write out a list of common things at a wedding eg ring, dress etc but ban certain words (such as ‘wedding’, ‘bride’, the groom’s name). Split the hens into teams and they have to guess as many of the items without using the banned words.
